ISELIN, NJ; Oct. 18, 2010 - eG Innovations, Inc., a global supplier of business service monitoring software for virtual and physical IT infrastructures, today announced that Rick Ruskin has been named the company's vice president of sales for the Americas. In his role, he is responsible for direct sales activities throughout North and South America as well as for developing an indirect channel in these regions.
Tim Clark, formerly eG's VP of sales, is now vice president of strategic alliances, where he will focus on expanding eG's relationships with leading systems integrators, technology vendors and OEMs.
"Rick has enjoyed a successful 25 year career in the high tech industry, leading the sales efforts at several companies that experienced significant growth and accomplishments," said Srinivas Ramanathan, eG's founder, president and CEO. "We're confident that his strong leadership and organizational skills will accelerate eG's double-digit annual growth of the last few years to even greater levels."
Ruskin most recently was VP of sales at Virtera, which grew to the largest pure virtualization consultancy in the U.S. prior to its sale to Glasshouse Technologies in 2009. Prior assignments included VP of sales at MTI as the company grew from start-up to nearly $300 million; and VP of sales at Storability from its infancy to its sale to STK Corporation in 2005. Ruskin holds a BS in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and received an MS in Physiology from Columbia University in New York.
"I am proud to be part of a company as well-positioned as eG Innovations," Ruskin said. "Enterprises and service providers have an urgent need to monitor the performance of their vital business services and applications in hybrid physical, virtual and cloud-based IT infrastructures. That is where eG Innovations offers world-class capabilities, and has a client base to match."
