How does eG Enterprise Monitor Microsoft Azure DNS Private Resolvers?
eG Enterprise provides a specialized Microsoft Azure DNS Private Resolvers model to host your DNS domains in the Microsoft cloud. To collect metrics from the target DNS Private Resolvers, eG Enterprise employs an agentless monitoring approach - i.e., it uses an eG remote agent deployed on Windows/Linux host/VM in the environment. This remote agent communicates with the Microsoft Azure cloud and pulls metrics on DNS Private Resolvers by making Azure ARM REST API calls - this includes metrics on the domain names and their associated records of Azure’s DNS service.
