Managing MySQL Cluster Database Server

The MySQL Cluster database server cannot be automatically discovered by eG Enterprise. Therefore, administrators need to manually add the MySQL Cluster database servers.

To add the cluster manually to eG Enterprise, follow the steps below:

  1. Follow the Components -> Add/Modify menu sequence in the Infrastructure tile of the Admin menu.
  2. Next, select MySQL Cluster from the Component type drop-down and then click the Add New Component button.
  3. When Figure 1 appears, specify the IP address of the primary instance in that cluster against Host IP/Name.

  4. Then, provide a Nick name for the component.
  5. Since the MySQL Cluster can be monitored in an Agentless manner alone, the Agentless flag will be enabled by default.
  6. Set Other as the OS and Mode.
  7. Then, pick the Remote Agent that should do agentless monitoring of the cluster server.
  8. Next, assign an External Agent to the cluster.
  9. Finally, click the Add button to add the cluster to the eG Enterprise system. Components manually added will be automatically managed by eG Enterprise.
