Wyse Device By Group Test

In Wyse Management Suite (WMS), a group is created to organize and manage multiple Dell Wyse thin clients. By creating these groups, you can apply specific configurations, policies, and updates to multiple devices at once, rather than handling each device individually. This makes managing large numbers of thin clients more efficient. This test reports the total number of thin clients in each group managed in Wyse Management Suite. Using this test, the administrators can confirm which group is having more number of thin clients.

Target of the test : Wyse Management Suite

Agent deploying this test : A remote agent

Outputs of the test :One set of results for each Group in the target WMS being monitored.

Configurable parameters for the test
Parameters Description

Test period

How often should the test be executed.

Host

The host for which the test is to be configured.

Port

The port to which the specified host listens.

Wyse User Name

The user name required to access Wyse Management Suite portal.

Wyse Password

The password of the Wyse Management Suite portal.

SSL

By default, the Wyse Management Suite is SSL-enabled. Accordingly, the SSL flag is set to Yes by default. This indicates that the eG agent will communicate with the Wyse Management Suite via HTTPS by default.

ProxyHost and ProxyPort

In some environments, all communication with the Wyse Management Suite be routed through a proxy server. In such environments, you should make sure that the eG agent connects to the Wyse Management Suite via the proxy server and collects metrics. To enable metrics collection via a proxy, specify the IP address of the proxy server and the port at which the server listens against the ProxyHost and ProxyPort parameters. By default, these parameters are set to none, indicating that the eG agent is not configured to communicate via a proxy, by default.

ProxyUsername, ProxyPassword, Confirm Password

If the proxy server requires authentication, then, specify a valid proxy user name and password in the Proxy Username and Proxy Password parameters, respectively. Then, confirm the password by retyping it in the Confirm Password text box.

If no proxy server is used, or if the proxy server used does not require authentication, then the default setting - none - of these parameters, need not be changed.
