With ExpertAssist, customers purchase a 90-day, renewable license to deploy and use eG Enterprise whenever they want over that period. Included in the license is online and telephone access to a pool of expert eG engineers who can provide customized assistance. Customers gain high-end proactive monitoring and in-depth visibility into their environment for a fraction of the cost of a typical end use license. Like leasing a car, ExpertAssist customers can try the software and see its benefits without an obligation to buy. If they choose not to continue with eG Enterprise , the lease ends after the given period.

ExpertAssist is available directly from eG Innovations and from the network of eG Enterprise partners. Licensing is billed monthly, customers typically sign up for a minimum of three months. The license is renewable every three months, and includes a buy-out clause at the end of the first 90-day period that provides a savings over the normal eG Enterprise one-time license fee.

The actual ExpertAssist monthly license fee depends on the number of servers to be monitored using eG Enterprise . Any server requires just one eG agent, which works with any hardware configuration, operating system and mix of applications. An entry-level ExpertAssist license supports up to 15 servers and is priced at $3,000/month. This includes up to 20 hours of telephone support; additional tech support is $160/hr. ExpertAssist licensing for a larger number of servers is available. The eG Expert Assist team is staffed with database, network, system and application administrators with in-depth expertise in these diverse technologies.
