| ISELIN, N.J.; Nov 13, 2006 - The industry’s simplest, most automated and cost effective end-to-end service management software suite now has an evaluation program to match. eG Innovations’ today announced its new EasyEvalSM program that enables users to get its enterprise-class management software running in a matter of minutes, not days or months. With the eG Easy Eval program, users can download and install agents locally on designated critical servers. Installation of the agents takes just a couple of minutes, and the agents can be configured to connect securely over the web to an eG Enterprise manager on the Internet, and begin real-time monitoring. When the setup is completed, users receive a URL to the remote eG Enterprise manager so they can start seeing performance statistics pertaining to their key servers, network devices and applications, including reports and real-time alerts. The EasyEval program is available at no charge with acceptance of a simple two-week license agreement that is part of the set-up procedure. Users do not need to acquire or assign a dedicated server, find a database server to store measurement data, or require a VPN connection to set up the monitoring. eG Enterprise’s unique 100% web-based architecture even allows monitoring of servers that are not directly on the public Internet - i.e., reside in different private Intranets. The monitoring is done in a secure manner since the agents do not listen on any TCP ports, and all communications use HTTP/S and hence, can be setup with no change in the enterprises’ firewall rules. As part of the Easy Eval program, users can monitor of any of the eighty plus applications including SAP R/3, Citrix Presentation Server, WebLogic, WebSphere, Microsoft applications such as SQL server, Exchange, and Active Directory. Agents can be installed on any of the operating systems supported by eG Enterprise including Windows XP, 2000, 2003, Solaris, Linux, AIX, and HPUX. “Today, most enterprises are forced to do more with fewer resources.
