Monitoring a Syslog
eG Enterprise provides a specialized Syslog monitoring model (see Figure 3) to periodically check the Syslog file for specific patterns of errors/warning messages. If messages that match the configured patterns are found, eG Enterprise alerts administrators to them, so that they can initiate the necessary remedial measures.
