Blade Memory Array Unit Intersight Test

Blade server comes with fully expandable memory array which provides fail safe memory capabilities for the server operation. Each unit within the array can work independently. It provides convenience to administrators to add more units if the memory load on the server has increased. At any given moment memory is the most important component for the operation of the server as it holds the data and logic, and sudden failure of memory array can lead to complete failure of operation. That is the reason nit is important to monitor the memory array so that administrators are aware of the state of memory arrays being monitored by Cisco Intersight.

This test monitors memory array units of blade server being managed by Cisco Intersight and collects the metrics like the current state, capacity, c lock speed etc. These metrics provide a high level overview to administrators about eh suitability of memory array for carrying out certain operation.

Detailed Diagnoses

To make diagnosis more efficient and accurate, the eG Enterprise embeds an optional detailed diagnostic capability. With this capability, the eG agents can be configured to run detailed, more elaborate tests as and when specific problems are detected. To enable the detailed diagnosis capability of this test for a particular server, choose the On option. To disable the capability, click on the Off option.

The option to selectively enable/disable the detailed diagnosis capability will be available only if the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • The eG manager license should allow the detailed diagnosis capability
  • Both the normal and abnormal frequencies configured for the detailed diagnosis measures should not be 0.
