Monitoring Microsoft Client Desktop

Tests mapped to each of the layers of the Microsoft Client Desktop component's layer model (see Figure 1), measure the aforesaid activities and report the results of the analysis to the eG manager.

The Windows Service, Network and Application Processes layers have been dealt with in the Monitoring Unix and Windows Servers document. This document therefore will discuss only the Operating System, TCP and Client Service layers of Figure 1.

Client Desktop requires only a basic monitor license.
