Hive Connection layer

Using the tests associated with the Hive Connection layer (see Figure 1), you can monitor the following:

• Number of requests that were serviced/unserviced by the disk cache.

• Percentage of requests that were serviced by the disk cache.

• Number of connections created in the connection pool.

• Number of connections that are available for use in the connection pool.

• Number of connections leased to the connection pool.

• Number of connections requested for the connection pool.

• Average time a client has to wait before a connection was granted.

• Count of incoming connections from clients to the data warehouse.

• Count of open operations in the data warehouse.
