IGEL Endpoints Test

Whenever users complaint of inaccessibility of their IGEL Endpoints, administrators need to promptly determine the reason for the same - is it because the IGEL endpoints are offline currently? is it because they are deleted? or is it because the IGEL UMS is inaccessible? The IGEL Endpoints test provides administrators with this information.

This test tracks the status of each IGEL Endpoint managed by the target IGEL UMS and reports the number of IGEL Endpoints that were online/offline. Using this test, IGEL endpoints that were recently added/deleted can also be quickly identified. The detailed diagnosis of this test pinpoints the exact names of the IGEL endpoints that were offline.

Target of the test : An IGEL UMS

Agent deploying the test : An internal agent

Outputs of the test : One set of results for the target IGEL UMS being monitored

Detailed Diagnosis

To make diagnosis more efficient and accurate, the eG suite embeds an optional detailed diagnostic capability. With this capability, the eG agents can be configured to run detailed, more elaborate tests as and when specific problems are detected. To enable the detailed diagnosis capability of this test for a particular server, choose the On option. To disable the capability, click on the Off option.

The option to selectively enable/disable the detailed diagnosis capability will be available only if the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • The eG manager license should allow the detailed diagnosis capability
  • Both the normal and abnormal frequencies configured for the detailed diagnosis measures should not be 0.
