IGEL Server Status Test

If the IGEL UMS server is unavailable or down for a longer duration, then users will not be able to access the IGEL Endpoints that are registered with the target IGEL UMS. If the IGEL UMS becomes unavailable more frequently, then, the user experience with the IGEL Endpoints may suffer a setback. To ensure that the IGEL Endpoints can be accessed by the users at all times, it is necessary to maintain the availability of the IGEL UMS round the clock. The IGEL Server Status test helps administrators keep a constant vigil on the availability of the IGEL UMS server.

This test reports the current status of the IGEL UMS. Using this test, administrators can proactively figure out if the IGEL UMS is down.

Configurable parameters for the test

Parameter	Description
Test Period	How often should the test be executed.
Host	The IP address of the host for which this test is to be configured.
Port	Refers to the port at which the specified host listens to. By default, this is 8443.
IGEL UMS Username and IGEL UMS Password	Specify the credentials of a user who is authorized to log into the IGEL UMS console against the IGEL UMS Username and IGEL UMS Password text boxes.
