Identifying the Host name and Server Instance name of the JBoss EAP Server Running in Domain mode

In order to identify the host name of the JBoss AS/EAP instance that is to be monitored, do the following:

If the JBoss AS/EAP instance to be monitored is set to operate in Domain mode, then an additional Hosts tab will appear in the JBoss management console. Clicking the Hosts tab will help you identify whether the host is configured as the master or slave in a JBoss AS/EAP instance cluster.

In addition to the Hosts tab, you can also figure out the host name in the Runtime tab of the JBoss AS/EAP management console as shown in Figure 26.

By default, the Overview option will be selected from the Runtime tab which will list the Host name, the groups to which the host is associated and the server instances that are available for that host. Specify the name of the server instance that is to be monitored in the JBOSS SERVER INSTANCE NAME text box when you configure the tests for the JBoss AS/EAP server.

For a standalone server, the name of the server can be viewed in the Runtime tab page and the Hosts tab will not appear in the management console.
