The tests mapped to this layer help to find out the following:

• Number of events generated for each destination

• Count of redo log sequences received and the log sequences applied

• Number of log sequences that could not be transmitted to the destination

• Status of the redo logs

• Time lag noticed on the standby database when redo logs are applied

• Time lag noticed when the redo is transported from the primary server

• Current status of the destination

• Current applied mode of the destination

• Number of primary, physical standby and logical standby nodes

• Current status and recovery mode of archived redo log destination.
