Adding the SAP Business Warehouse Instance

eG Enterprise can automatically discover the SAP Business Warehouse Instance in the target environment and also lets you to add the SAP Business Warehouse Instance component if the SAP Business Warehouse Instance is not auto-discovered. The following steps explain you how to manage the server that is auto-discovered using the eG administrative interface.

  1. Login to the eG admin interface.
  2. Follow the Infrastructure -> Components -> Add/Modify menu sequence.
  3. In the page that appears next, select SAP Business Warehouse Instance as the Component type. Then, click the Add New Component button.
  4. Figure 1 will then appear.

  5. In Figure 1, first specify the Host IP/Name of the SAP Business Warehouse Instance that you want to manage.

  6. Then, provide a Nick name for the server.

  7. In the Port number text box, specify the port on which the SAP Business Warehouse Instance communicates. By default, this is 3200.

  8. By default, the Agentless flag is enabled indicating that this is the default monitoring approach for monitoring the SAP Business Warehouse Instance.
  9. Pick the OS on which the target SAP Business Warehouse Instance is running.
  10. Set the Mode to Perfmon.

  11. Select the Remote agent that will be monitoring the target SAP Business Warehouse Instance. Note that the Remote agent you choose should run on a Windows host.

  12. Then, pick an External agent and click the Add button to add the component.
  13. Once the component is added, proceed to configure the tests for the component.
