Managing an SSAS Instance

To manage a target SSAS instance, do the following:

1. Login to the eG admin interface.

2. Follow the Infrastructure -> Components -> Add/Modify menu sequence.

3. In the page that appears next, select Microsoft SQL Analysis Serveras the Component type. Then, click the Add New Component button.

4. Figure 1 will then appear.

5. Specify the Host IP/Name of the SSAS instance and its Nick name in Figure 1. The default port number of SSAS is 2383, which will be displayed against Port number. Change this number if the SSAS instance is listening on a different port in your environment.

6. Then, pick one/more External agents for monitoring SSAS

7. Finally, click the Update button.
