Pre-requisites for Monitoring SSIS
As stated earlier, in addition to using the Windows Perfmon utility, the eG monitor runs queries on the SSIS database to pull metrics. To enable the eG agent to run these queries, the following pre-requisites should be fulfilled:
- Configure the eG agent with the correct version of SSIS being monitored;
- Configure the eG agent with the database port number – i.e., the port number of the SQL instance in which the SSISDB (i.e., the SSIS database) is available - so that the agent can connect to the database;
- Configure the eG agent with the credentials of a user with the privileges to run queries on the SSISDB
