How to Monitor the Oracle VDI Broker Using eG Enterprise?

eG Enterprise is capable of monitoring the Oracle VDI Broker in both agent-based and agentless manners. To monitor the broker, the eG agent can be deployed on the system hosting the broker (in case of an agent-based approach), or can be installed on any remote Windows/Linux/Solaris host in the target environment. Once installed and started, the eG agent uses certain privileged VDA (Virtual Desktop Access) commands for pulling out the performance data related to the broker. To enable the eG agent to run these commands, certain pre-requisites need to be fulfilled. These pre-requisites differ according to the monitoring approach (agent-based or agentless) employed for monitoring the broker. These requirements have been discussed in the following topics:

Once the pre-requisites are fulfilled, manage the Oracle VDI Broker using the eG administrative interface. The procedure to achieve this is briefed in topic.
