How does eG Enterprise Monitor AWS Managed Service Kafka?
eG Enterprise monitors AWS Managed Service Kafka in an agentless manner. For this, an eG agent needs to be deployed on a remote Windows/Linux host in the target environment.
Pre-Requisites for Monitoring AWS Managed Service Kafka
The following pre- requisites are to be satisfied while you start monitoring AWS Managed Service Kafka:

Since AWS Managed Service Kafka can be monitored only in an agentless manner, at least one remote agent should be configured in the environment;

The system hosting the remote agent should be configured with internet connectivity;

eG Enterprise uses AWS CLI to connect to the target AWS Managed Service Kafka instance and pull out the required metrics. Ensure that the AWS CLI is installed in your environment. To install AWS CLI application refer to Installing AWS CLI version 2 on Windows/ Linux.

AWS Region to which the target AWS Managed Service Kafka belongs to should be obtained, and the eG remote agent should be configured with these information.

A Secret key and an Access key should be obtained, and the eG remote agent should be configured with these keys.
