How does eG Enterprise Monitor Cisco Firepower Threat Defense?

eG Enterprise monitors the Cisco Firepower Threat Defense using an eG external agent that is deployed on a remote host. This eG agent polls the SNMP MIB of the device to gather the statistics related to the Cisco Firepower Threat Defense at configured intervals.

Below are the prerequisites to monitoring the Cisco Firepower Threat Defense:

• Cisco Firepower Threat Defense device is enabled for SNMP.

• SNMP connectivity is established between eG external agent and target device.

• SNMP credentials are available.
