Monitoring the IBM App Connect Enterprise

eG Enterprise provides a specialized IBM App Connect Enterprise monitoring model (see the below figure), which periodically collects measures from various components of the IBM App Connect Enterprise and notifies administrators of potential performance issues and processing slowdowns experienced on the whole by the IBM App Connect Enterprise server.

Using the metrics reported, administrators can find quick and accurate answers for the following performance questions: 

  • Were there too many request failures on the FTP servers integrated with IBM App Connect Enterprise?

  • Were there too many statements that failed execution on the ODBC DSN integrated with IBM App Connect Enterprise?

  • Were the requests to the CICS transaction server integrated with IBM App Connect Enterprise successful?

  • Are the threads processing messages without time delays?

  • Are there any message flow components that are experiencing time delays while processing messages?

  • Is the memory type of each JVM utilizing adequate resources?
