How does eG Enterprise Monitor Internet Connection?

eG Enterprise employs agent-based approach to monitor the speed of Internet between the target host and the service provider. The agent based approach requires that an eG external agent be deployed on a host to collect the metrics of interest from the target host. The eG external agent uses the Ookla speedtest CLI to run the speed test at the pre-configured frequency.
