An eG external agent is required for monitoring the Microsoft Azure Application Gateway.

Since a default external agent is bundled into every eG Enterprise installation, the same agent can be used for monitoring the Azure Application Gateway. Therefore, no additional monitoring licenses will be required for Azure Application Gateway monitoring.
