Monitoring Microsoft RD Connection Broker

eG Enterprise provides a specialized Microsoft RD Connection Broker model.

Each layer in Figure 1 is mapped to tests that report metrics related to the RD connection broker. Using the metrics reported by this test, administrators can find accurate answers for the following performance queries:

• Are there too many failed connections/stored procedure calls?

• Are there any pending connections/stored procedure calls?

• Is the average context acquisition wait time high?

• Is the average stored procedure call wait time high?

Since the layers Security Checks, Application Processes/Services, Windows System, TCP, Network, Operating System have already been dealt with in the Monitoring Windows and Unix Servers document, this chapter will discuss the RD Connection Broker Service layer only.
