Panorama Connectivity Test

This test instantly informs administrators of the non-availability (if any) of the target Palo Alto Panorama, reports the response code received for the requests, and also intimates them of any probable slowdown in the responsiveness of the panorama.

Measurements made by the test

Measurement

Description

Measurement Unit

Interpretation

Status

Indicates whether/not the target panorama is available.

The numeric values that correspond to these states are as follows:

State Numeric Value
Down 0
Available 100

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned States to indicate whether/not the Palo Alto Panorama is available. However, in the graph of this measure, the same will be represented using the numeric equivalents – 0 or 100 only.

Response time

Indicates the time taken by the panorama to respond to the requests it receives.

Seconds

A low value is desired for this measure. A gradual/sudden increase in response time indicates a bottleneck.

Response code

Indicates the response code returned by the panorama for the request received.

Number

A value between 200 and 300 indicates a good response. A 4xx value indicates a problem with the requested content (eg., page not found). A 5xx value indicates an error.

Content length

Indicates the size of the content returned by the panorama.

KB

Typically the content length returned by the panorama should be the same across time. Any change in this metric may indicate the need for further investigation.
