How does eG Enterprise monitor Panzura Cloud File System?

eG Enterprise uses an eG external agent to monitor the Panzura Cloud File System. The external agent can be deployed on any remote host in the environment. This agent executes various tests that connect to the SNMP MIB of the appliance to be monitored, and collects critical statistics of interest. Before attempting to monitor the appliance, ensure that the device is SNMP-enabled. To enable the eG agent to access the SNMP MIB, specify the following while configuring the tests:

• Port number on which the target device exposes its MIB

• SNMP community to be used for accessing the MIB

• SNMP credentials.

eG Enterprise can automatically discover the Panzura Cloud File System.
