SCC Disk Usage Test

SAP Cloud Connector (SCC) disk usage refers to the amount of Disk space that the SAP Cloud Connector application consumes for its operation. The disk usage of SAP Cloud Connector can vary depending on several factors, including the number of connected systems, the amount of data being saved, and the configuration of the connector itself. SAP typically provides system requirements and recommendations for deploying the Cloud Connector, including guidelines on the amount of disk space required based on usage and scale.

This test monitors the SCC Disk usage to have a check on availability of disk space for cloud connector operations. It allows you to proactively manage disk space, and be alerted if the available disk space is low.

Target of the test : SAP Cloud Connector.

Agent deploying the test : An external/internal agent

Outputs of the test : One set of results for each n SCC subaccount.

Configurable parameters for the test

Parameter	Description
Test period	How often should the test be executed.
Host	Specify the host for which the test is to be configured.
Port	Specify the port at which the specified host listens to. Default port is 8443.
SSL	By default, the SAP Cloud Connector is SSL-enabled. Accordingly, the SSL flag is set to Yes by default. This indicates that the eG agent will communicate with the SAP Cloud Connector via HTTPS by default.
Username	User ID should have login access, read applications, read spaces and read organization. So, create new User ID and set user role as Administrator or Monitoring. For details on user authentication and roles refer to How does eG Enterprise Monitor SAP Cloud Connector?
Password	The password of the specified user ID.

Measurements made by the test

Used disk space	Indicates the percent disk space used on the server hosting SAP cloud connector.	Percentage	Represents how much storage is already consumed. Tracking this over time helps identify abnormal growth patterns and supports capacity planning and preventive maintenance.
Cloud connector disk usage	Indicates the percentage disk space used by SAP cloud connector out of total disk space.	Percentage	Disk space specifically consumed by SAP Cloud Connector components such as logs, trace files, and runtime data. It helps isolate whether storage issues are caused by the connector itself rather than the underlying operating system or other applications.
Other disk usage	Indicates the percentage disk space used by other applications.	Percentage	Monitoring this ensures that external factors do not silently reduce available storage and impact Cloud Connector reliability.
