Domain Join Status Test

Domain join status in Windows Server refers to whether a machine (server or client) is successfully connected to an Active Directory domain. When a server is domain-joined, it becomes a member of the domain and inter operates with the domain's centralized authentication, security policies, and network resource management.

The Domain Join Status test helps the administrators quickly identify the join status of the machine with the domain and to check if the domain-joined machine currently has an active connection with the domain.

Target of the test : A Windows host

Agent deploying the test : An internal agent

Outputs of the test : One set of results for the host being monitored.

Configurable parameters for the test

Measurements made by the test
Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation

Is the machine part of a domain?

Indicates whether/not the system is joined to a Windows domain.

The values reported by this measure and its numeric equivalents are mentioned in the table below:

No 0

Note:

By default, this measure reports the Measure Values listed in the table above to indicate whether/not the system is joined to a Windows domain. However, the graph of this measure is indicated using the numeric equivalents.

Is the machine connected to a domain?

Indicates whether/not the domain-joined machine currently has an active connection with the domain.
