How to Monitor Windows Systems Using eG Enterprise?
This involves the following steps:
-
Install an eG agent on a remote Windows/Linux host in the environment;
-
Install and start an eG VM Agent on every Windows system you want monitored;
-
Configure every eG VM Agent with the details of the remote agent it should communicate with and the Windows Systems Group component it should monitor;
-
If required, change the TCP port (default port: 60010) at which the remote agent listens;
-
Manage the Windows Systems Group component using the eG administrative interface;
-
View the real-time state and metrics of the managed Windows Systems Group component in the eG monitoring console
To know how to install an eG agent on a Windows/Linux host, refer to the eG Installation Guide. Each of the other steps outlined above (i.e., steps 2-6) has been elaborately discussed
