How Does eG Enterprise Monitor Wyse Management Suite?

eG Enterprise monitors Wyse Management Suite in an agentless manner. All that is required for this is an eG agent that needs to be deployed on a remote host in the environment. This agent connects to the port of the target Wyse Management Suite, runs REST API commands and pulls metrics from the Suite at regular intervals.

Pre-Requisites for monitoring Wyse Management Suite

To monitor the Wyse Management Suite, the API feature must be enabled by the administrator in the Wyse Management Suite (Dell Management Portal) user interface. To enable the feature, follow the below steps:

  • Log in as an administrator in the login page of the Dell Management Portal (see Figure 1).

  • In the Portal Administration settings page, go to Portal Administration tab (see Figure 2).

  • Click Other Settings option in the left panel (see Figure 3).

  • Enable WMS API check box (see Figure 4).

  • Click Save Settings (see Figure 5).
