How to Monitor Omnissa Horizon Desktops Using eG Enterprise?
This involves the following broad steps:
-
Install an eG agent on a remote Windows/Linux host in the environment;
-
Install and start an eG VM Agent on every Omnissa Horizon desktop you want monitored on the cloud;
-
Configure every eG VM Agent with the details of the eG remote agent it should communicate with and the Omnissa Horizon Desktop Group component it should monitor;
-
If the remote agent listens on a different port in your environment, then override the default TCP port (60010) of the remote agent to reflect the change.
-
Manage the Omnissa Horizon Desktop group component using the eG administrative interface;
-
View the real-time state and metrics of the managed Omnissa Horizon Desktop group component in the eG monitoring console
To know how to install an eG agent on a Windows/Linux host, refer to the eG Installation Guide. Each of the other steps outlined above (i.e., steps 2-6) has been elaborately discussed
